Suggest a better descriptionOil Prime Rib. Score 1/4" deep cuts every inch. Mix all ingredients together except onion. RUB over roast. Sprinkle onion on roast. Place roast in a pan with 1 inch of water in the bottom.
Bake 400* for 1 1/2 hours then 200* for 2 hours or until done. Pull out 5* - 10* before desired temperature. Let sit 15 minutes before serving.
Rare: 17 - 19 minutes per pound
Medium Rare: 20 - 22 minutes per pound
Medium: 23 - 25 minutes per pound
Well Done: 27 - 30 minutes per pound
