Best standing rib roast with paste rub

Preheat oven to 500 degrees F
Combine broth, garlic salt, curry powder and pepper to form a paste.
Apply paste to both ends and fat side of roast, pressing to adhere as much as possible
Insert a meat thermometer into thickest part of roast and place, rib side down, onto a rack in a shallow baking pan.
Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes.
DO NOT OPEN DOOR.
Decrease temperature to 350 degrees and continue to bake another 1 to 1 2/3 hours.
Watch thermometer and remove at desired doneness.
Remove from oven and transfer onto a cutting board.
Let stand 15 minutes before carving.
Transfer onto a serving platter and serve immediately.
