This is great over spice cake, on roasted apples or pears, over ice cream, with bread pudding, on pumpkin pie or in hot coffee with a dab of whipped cream after dinner. Yum!
Put sugar and cream in heavy pan. Heat on medium to melt sugar into cream, add spice and mix well. Take off heat and add rum and stir.
