Sicilian Easter basket
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time until combined. Add flour, Baking powder Mix well. Add milk and vanilla extract to a form a smooth dough.
Form a basket for egg either by braiding ropes or Roll out dough to form a 6" round disc- 1/8" thick. Roll dough to form a 1/2" rope. Roll dough and cut strips. Lay over egg and place Egg on basket.
Bake at 375 degrees for 18 minutes or until slightly brown.
