Suggest a better descriptionPlace yams in shallow baking dish. Combine syrup from can, sugar, and butter in saucepan, stirring to boil and thicken. Pour sauce over yams. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes, basting fruquently. *Vary the above recipy with the following: Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon and/or nutmeg. Place a few slices of orange or pineapple on yams in dish and add 3 tbsp. orange or pineapple juice to liquid before basting.
