You can use white flour and/or add other ingredients to make savory or sweet
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine buttermilk and baking soda, and blend in remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased loaf pan and place in the oven. Lower the temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 55-60 minutes. Remove from the pan and cool on a rack.
You can use all white flour if you like and you can add all sorts of things to the bread, depending on what you're in the mood for. You can make it savory or sweet - it's very forgiving.
