In Pan add olive oil Chopped Garlic and Chopped Onions. Add pinch salt & pepper. Saute until transparent @ 3-5 mins.
Add Crushed Tomatoes, add @ 3/4 cup of water using crushed tomato can.
Add Bay Leaf and fresh basil, add pinch of sugar.
simmer and cook 45 - 60 minutes.
add salt & pepper if needed.
