2. Brown the rice until it smells toasty
3. Add seasonings
4. Add liquids and bring to boil.
5. Reduce heat and cover with clean dish towel and lid till extra water absorbed.
6. Let sit for extra 10 minutes, covered.
Stir in heated peas or raisins/currants to pilaf.
Stir in fresh herbs (cilantro, parsley, mint, chives)
Ideas:
Fennel (plus fronds) + turmeric + cilantro (pictured above)
Carrot + cumin + parsley
Garlic + cinnamon + mint
Saffron + peas
