Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 450. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl. Using a fork, cut butter into flour until dough resembles coarse meal. Add milk, and stir until dough is combined and pulls away from side of bowl.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly for approximately 10 turns. Using a rolling pin, roll dough into a disk about 1/2 inch thick. Using a 2 1/2 biscuit cutter, cut dough into rounds. Place biscuits 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake until golden brown and cooked through, approximately 12 minutes.
