Cuban beef dish. Delicious with Black Beans and Rice.
Salt and pepper the meat. In a large pan, brown the meat in a little bit of the oil. Add about 1 cup of water and simmer, covered, until done, about 2 hours. Turn off the heat and allow to cool down, covered, in the pan. Shred the meat, reserving the juices.
In a clean pan, saute the onion and garlic. Aff bell pepper and cook for a few minutes. Add meat, broth, tomato sauce, red wine, bay leaves and salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about half and hour. Serve with black beans and white rice.
