Suggest a better descriptionUse 1 of each fruit for up to 2.5 gallons of wine-use more if you like a lot of fruit
Dice your apples and put into a bowl
Squeeze your other fruit into your bowl, then dice the remainder and add those to your bowl.
Into the large sangria container, lay a base of the orange juice of about 1/3cup/gal of wine being used.
Add 1/4 cup Triple sex/gal-stir & mix
Add 1/2 of your wine-not all of it at first-you'll see why later-stir & mix
Add sugar to taste, keeping careful note of the amount added- work up to your sweetness-keep in mind that the fruit and 7up/sprite will ass sweetness to your mix- stir and mix
Add the rest of your wine to the container- stir and mix
Now, if you,ve made the first half too sweet, you can adjust the taste by adding less sugar than the first had to the rest of the wine- stir and mix
Add the bowl's ingredients- store and mix
Ideally, you will be able to chill overnight, giving the fruit's natural sweetness time to maximize-if you prepare more than 24 hours before serving, you run the risk that the fruit will get soft, rather than crunch.
Immediately before serving, add the 7 up or Sprite (about 8oz/gal) to provide effervescence
You can't make a mistake- don't be afraid- you can always adjust.
If you're making a large amount in a large container that's difficult to chill, fill a number of small, plastic, leak-proof freezer bags with water, freeze them into ice, then use the sealed bags as "ice cubes: of sore. As the ice melts, water stays in the bag and doesn't dilute the wine, but they serve the purpose.
