Easy, Foolproof Lasagna - From Mamma Shill's kitchen
Brown meat and drain. Add tomatoes, sauce, spaghetti sauce mix, and garlic salt. Boil and stir and simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
Cook lasagna noodles in boiling salted water. Rinse in cold water.
Place 1/2 noodles in 10x10 baking dish. Cover with 1/3 sauce, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 cottage cheese. Repeat with noodles, 1/3 sauce, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 cottage cheese. End with sauce. Top with 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Cut into squares.
This can be frozen prior to baking. Bake first covered then uncovered during the last 30 minutes.
