Very quick and simple pasta sauce the kids really like.
In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add onion and saute until transparent.
Add garlic and saute until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Add ground beef, salt, and pepper and cook until brown then drain excess fat.
Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, and bay leaves.
Continue cooking over medium heat until hot and bubbling, then reduce heat and simmer for a minimum of one hour. Longer simmering is preferable.
Serve over your favorite cooked pasta.
