2 Cook onion in bacon grease
3 Combine all ingredients in crock pot. EXCEPT half and half and corn starch
4 Cook for 6-7 hours until potatoes are tender
5 Combine corn starch and cold half and half
6 Add mix to chowder slow and mix well(note only add at then end of the 6-7 of cooking if not it will curl and go bad)
7 Cook for another 1/2 hour
8 Serve and enjoy
Notes
bacon should be crumpled into bites
use the clams and juice that come in the can
you can use 1 cup of cream and 2 cups of half and half
