From my late mother's copy of "Favorite Recipes of the Aetna Girls," August, 1975 [Toledo, Ohio]. This recipe submitted by Betty Wegener [N. B.: I have not made this recipe.]
Beat egg whites until stiff & dry, add 1 cup sugar gradually - beating all the time. Mix together saltines, baking powder & nuts. Blend into egg whites & vanilla. Spread in 9" pie pan (lightly greased). Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Whip cream and spread on top.
