In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until just melted. Remove from heat.
Add Rice Krispies, stir until well coated.
Press into a buttered 9x9 pan coated with cooking spray. Cut into squares when cooled.
A double recipe makes in a 9x 13 pan makes nice, thick treats.
Don't overcook the marshmallows. Use a light hand when pressing into the pan.
