Mix starter ingredients. Let stand in a warm place overnight or up to 48 hours. Use or store in refrigerator. Feed once or twice a week. After feeding wait 3-4 days before using.
Yogurt adds an interesting tang. I highly recommend using it. You can also add it to the starter at the beginning. It needs to be at room temperature so as not to kill the yeast.
