Sprinkle 1/4 cup pecans in bottom of pan.
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs.
Add vanilla.
Add 1/2 flour.
Add sour cream.
Add remaining flour.
Add remaining pecans.
Smooth batter into pan.
Bake 55-65 minutes.
