1. Brown italian sausage in dutch oven. Remove from pan and excess oil.
2. Add onion and carrots to dutch oven. Cook until softened. Add garlic, tomato paste and crushed red pepper. Cook for another minute.
3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and cooked italian sausage. Bring to a boil. Turn the heat down to a simmer.
4. Simmer for at least one hour. Stirring occasionally.
