About this recipe, he said :This is my special blend of vegetables, spices and herbs to create the perfect vegetarian burger pattie. You can prepare extra patties, because they keep well when frozen.
Heat the grill to 350 degrees F.
1.Roast and peel the red peppers. slice them lengthwise.
2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, add the leeks and saute until limp. Stir in the garlic, mushrooms, tomato, roasted bell peppers, spinach, black pepper, thyme and red chilies. Saute for 5-8 minutes more, drain and place in a bowl.
3. Gently blend in the bread crumbs and grated cheese, ad the eggs and mix well. Form into four patties, place on cookie sheet, cover with food wrap and refrigerate 4-8 hours.
4. Grill the patties over a medium heat (350 degrees F) for 3 minutes. Turn and place a slice of cheese on each pattie an grill until cheese is melted. Cook the patties only long enough to heat them through the center.
5. Spread the Barbecue Garlic Paste on 4 slices of the lightly toasted bred, place a pattie on top and finish with the alfalfa sprouts. utter the other slices of toasted bred and put on top of the burgers.
Garlic Paste:
1. Roast the garlic bulb with paprika, and then drizzle with olive oil.
2. smash the bulbs, extracting the garlic, add 1 tsp. soft butter, 1/4 tsp fresh cilantro (minced fine) and 1/4 tsp fresh lime juice.
