Suggest a better descriptionPlace sugar and 1/4 C water in a small saucepan; stir, and bring to a boil. Simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved. allow the syrup to cool completely. Place half the berries in the jar of a blender; add the syrup. Puree until smooth, pass through a fine colander or sieve. Chop remaining berries; stir into strawberry puree. Serve (or store in an air-tight container, refrigerated, up to 3 days.)
