Suggest a better descriptionBoil cabbage. Turn after 20 minutes. Make sure cooked through. Let sit. Drain.
Cook rice.
Dice onion and sautee in butter and Olive oil.
Add ground beef. Brown. Add tomato paste, salt, pepper, chopped garlic, bread crumbs, wine. If dry, add some water.
Add rice and chopped parsley. Simmer. Then let cool.
When cooled, add egg and parmigiana cheese.
Stuff cabbage. Envelope style fold. (1st side, then sides to right and left, then last side.) Place in casserole dish.
Put butter on top of each one. Smash tomatoes, put on top, add some of water from boiled cabbage. (Or substitute the rest of the can of tomato paste and put on top instead of the tomatoes.)
Cover, bake 1.5 hours at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Last 10 minutes with lid off.
