Simple when tomatoes are ripe.
Cook garlic and onion in oil in medium high heat in sauce-pan about 3 minutes until onion softens but not yet brown. Add tomatoes and bring to boil, add basil and cook, covered for 10 minutes. Mix in blender or food processor until smooth. Add salt, pepper, and pinch of sugar, if needed.
