Suggest a better description1. Grease a 11 (2pt) pudding basin. Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl, until light and fluffy
2. Gradually beat in the eggs. Stir in the flour and vanilla essence then turn the mixture into prepared basin
3. Cook in the microwave for 5 (6) minutes or 6 (7) minutes if making one of the variations.

Variations:
Syrup - Place 3 15ml (tbsp) of golden syrup in the bottom of the basin. Add mixture and cook as above
Jam - Place 3 15ml (tbsp) of jam in the bottom of the basin. Add mixture and cook as above
Pineapple - Arrange 5 pineapple rings in the prepared basin. Put a Glace cherry in the centre of each ring then add the mixture and cook as above
Sultana - Stir 50-75g (2-3oz) of dried fruit into the sponge mixture. Cook as above
