Only 5 ingredients. this taco Braid is made with crescent roll dough or pizza dough is such an easy and delicious dinner. You are going to want to make it again and again.
preheat oven on 375 degrees
in a large skillet over medium heat, cook the gr beef until no longer pink. Drain the fat.
stir in the taco seasoning and salsa (DO NOT ADD WATER)
Set aside
Spread dough out on silicon mat or parchment paper and place it on a baking pan.
Leaving 3 inches in the middle, make cuts about an inch apart on both sides
spread the meat mixture down the middle of the braid. Top with one cup of cheddar cheese.
take a strip of dough from 1 side of the dough and drape it over the middle, then take a strip from the other side doing the same continue this alternating until all is folded over.
Pinch the ends of the dough to keep the mixture inside while baking.
Sprinkle the rest of the cheddar cheese over the top of the braid
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Let stand about 10 minutes and then top with your favorite taco toppings such as sour cream.
