Heat oven to 350
Grease a large casserole dish
Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl, taking care to keep most of the tamale slices in tact.
Pour into casserole dish, evening-out the distribution of tamale pieces.
Bake at 350 for 95 minutes, loosely covering with foil for final 30 minutes (or less if you like a darker top)
If it looks like the casserole is not going to dry-out enough for your taste, reduce temp. to 325 & continue to bake till desired dryness.
