In a medium bowl mix together the flour, baking soda and salt
Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the butter and sugars until thoroughly blended
Reduce the speed to low, add the dry ingredients and beat until just combined
Using a rubber spatula, stir in the chocolate chips
Roll into a ball about 1/4 cup and place on baking sheet about 2 inches apart
Cook for about 18 minutes
