From Christmas Bake Day
Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla thoroughly.
Blend together flour and salt; stir in.
Roll into balls.
Beat egg whites slightly with fork.
Dib balls into egg white.
Roll into nuts.
Press with thumb.
Bake 10-12 minutes. Fill cooled cookies with icing.
