Suggest a better description-Preheat oven to 350°
-Grease a 9" X 9" pan
-In saucepan over medium heat, melt 6 tbsps of the butter.
-Stir in the oats, brown sugar, flours, baking soda and nuts.
-Pat firmly onto bottom of pan.
-Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
-Meanwhile in medium saucepan, combine remaining two tbsps of butter/margarine and condensed milk.
-Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
-Stir in vanilla.
-Pour over baked crust and return to oven.
-Bake 10-15 minutes then remove from oven.
-Immediately sprinkle chocolate pieces evenly over top.
-Let stand for one minute.
-With spatula, spread while chocolate is still warm.
-Cool to room temperature.
