Yummy with the chocolate chips

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter the bottom and sides of a 0 inch loaf pan. Lightly dust the pan with flour, tapping out any excess.
2. In a large bowl, beat the butter with a large spoon until soft and creamy. Slowly add the sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy with a smooth and uniform texture, 1 to 2 minutes.
3.In a small bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth but still chunky. Add the mashed bananas to the butter mixture and stir until well combined
4. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, and mix well, Add the vanilla extract and mix thoroughly.
5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Make sure the dry ingredients are thoroughly mixed together. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, and stir with a large spoon until just combined. Do not overmix.
6. Add the yogurt and oil and stir until just blended. Again, do not overmix.
7. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake until the top is golden brown and a toothpick or skewer inserted in the crack that forms at the top comes out clean, 50 to 75 minutes. (if the top is browning too quickly, tent the pan with aluminum foil) Start checking the bread at 50 minutes. It may bake an extra 5 to 25 minutes longer, depending on how many bananas you use.
9. Remove the bread from the oven and let cool in the pan set on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Carefully remove the bread from the pan place it directly on the wire rack, and let cool for 1 hour before slicing.
