delicious and decadent
1. preheat oven to 350. Butter a 13x9 baking dish.
2. Whisk milk and sugar over medium heat.
3. Meanwhile, scrape vanilla bean into milk and throw in pods. Heat to steaming, not boiling. Discard vanilla pods.
4. Whisk eggs and yolks. Gradually add 2 cups steaming milk to eggs and then pour it all into the rest of the milk.
5. Strain and then whisk in cream.
6. Spread bread cubes in dish. Slowly pour custard over bread.
7. Bake for 1 hour--until knife comes out clean.
