It is a quick and easy snacks for the kids that is so healthy. My grandad used to keep this ready for me when I get back from school.
1. Dry roast the wheat flour until the raw smell goes off and a nice aroma arises
2. Remove the flour to a plate
3. To the same pan, add 1 cup jaggery and water just enough to wet the jaggery
4. Keep stirring on a low flame until all the jaggery is dissolved. You will now start to notice that the jaggery starts to bubble up
5. At this time, add the roasted flour and keep mixing continuously
6. Once all the flour is mixed with jaggery, add 1 tbsp of ghee and mix well
7. Now the mixture will come together and start leaving the sides of the pan
8. Switch off the flame and remove the mixture to a place and let it cool
9. Once you are able to touch the mixture, make them into small balls
10. Serve by placing a piece of cashew on top
This can be stored in an airtight container and can be used for up to three days
