Drain & rinse canned beans. Place in a small bowl; mash with a fork.
Heat a large saucepan over medium heat. Add olive oil to pan; swirl. Add onion & garlic to pan; saute 5 minutes or until tender. Add chicken stock, mashed beans, cauliflower, milk, cornmeal & 1/4 t salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, & simmer 30 or until cauliflower is tender. Remove pan from heat; stir in butter & cheese.
