Suggest a better descriptionIn a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add flour mixture into butter mixture, beating until incorporated. By hand, stir in white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. Make large cookies by dropping dough by rounded 1- to 1 1/2-ounce portions (about 2 to 3 heaping tbsps.) onto parchment lined cookie sheets, spacing evenly to allow for spreading, and pressing down lightly with your palm just a bit to flatten slightly (not too much!). Bake, one sheet at a time, in a 350 degree oven until cookies are light brown around edges and middles don't look quite set, about 12 to 15 minutes. Do not over bake. Cool slightly on cookie sheet for 1 to 2 minutes then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Makes lots of cookies.
It's important to bake these cookies on the light side. They should look under cooked in the center and light golden brown on the edges. They will finish setting as they cool on the cookie sheet.
