Grandmother's Best !!

"I'm giving this one four stars because I liked the way the egg produced a brown and crisp texture. What I'd like to see more on BigOven are recipes that reveal more technique. For instance, the dough in this recipe is sticky when ingredients are combined. If I didn't know that I'm supposed to dip my hands in flour, I'd have a tough time shaping the biscuits and probably end up with over kneaded biscuits. " - digi

Dry n not flaky at all. What's pictured couldnt be this recipe. Were a little on the 'hard' side.

I made these exactly as directed to a 'T' and they came out hard as rocks. I kept my eyes on them in the oven and even took them out as they turned light brown. I threw them out to the birds outdoors and even they won't eat them. I'm very disappointed in this recipe. I found a much nicer recipe now and i just made them and I am extrememly satisfied with them.

These were especially good with a pattie of spicy pork sausage. They make a 'one handed' breakfast for those on-the-go mornings.
