This is my maternal grandmother's recipe for chili. It's not hot, but very flavorful and extremely easy to make!
Cuisine: American-South Main Ingredient: Ground Beef
amy_lastname ,I usually hate beans and so does my husband but this was a fantastic recipe :) we had it for dinner and had some left overs for lunch today.. Very tasty! I added onion and celery to it but the flavor of your recipe was fantastic :) thanks for sharing!13y
ddiresto ,This is an excellent chili.. I added chopped carrots and a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar.. The spice and sweetness is so great together.. I always loved my other chili recipe I have been making for years but I am now going to have to retire that one and add this one to my favorites..13y
kellyd2389 ,Love it. Make it all the time. Do have to spice it up a bit. I would def reccomend it to anyone.13y
mr_d ,sqrishka, if you happen to read this, question for you. We previously made your beef chili with beans and absolutely loved it. This one looks good, but in your humble opinion, which do you like more?14y
sappy ,This is the best chili I have had in a long time. I made it for the super bowl and the chili was a hit. It was a super chili bowl. And of course the game was great to. This is a keeper in my house.14y
trophywife123 ,I sub'd minced garlic and added a little more chili powder and cayenne and just a dash of cinnamon. No leftovers!14y
sgrishka ,This is also an easy recipe to add to or change. You can add new ingredients, i.e. a small can of diced green chilis, a half stalk of diced celery, or change the type of beans, or turn up the heat by changing the chili powder to a hotter chili powder, or adding some crushed red pepper, or using more cayenne pepper. [I posted this recipe.]15y
