Skelley3368 , 12 months agoWonderful - the sausage is great idea. It gives the dish so much more favor than the tradition ground beef.
zacman , 1 years agoNice recipe. Easy for me, a novice cook to prepare. Even my teenage daughter enjoyed it!
tiffanymayes , 1 years agoThese are delicious! The italian sausage is much better than ground beef. My husband and kids aren't big pepper fans but they loved it. Definitely added to our meal rotation!

Chelle0069 , 1 years agoThis was wonderful! I did not boil the potatoes because my hubby likes them a little crunchy!
kellyannecabrieto , 1 years agoI love this dish. It is definitely on the top of my list. My fiance and I made this dish last night and really enjoyed the smells that were brewing in the kitchen. Once everything was done and ready to eat, we were truly satisfied with the first bite. We had paired the dish with tortellini and Prego sauce which balanced with the spicy Italian sausage. This was a great recipe and I thank you so much for it!!! I am very excited to make it again.
karynstorey , 1 years agoCooked according to directions, except not so long In the oven. It was plenty saucy and flavorful.

theaclark , 1 years agoVery good! I didn't boil the peppers and it turned out very nicely.
Jli1978 , 1 years agoDelicious! There's no need to boil the peppers, they cook just fine on their own in the oven. I spread a little tomato sauce across the top of each pepper before putting the cheese on.
schmoe111 , 1 years agoAmazing!!! Added zucchini, tomato paste, and sweet Italian sausage . Also layered cheese inside the pepper (using the whole rather than half), not boiled just baked. Family loved; will make again!!!
Azawadski , 1 years agoSo very yummy and easy to make! I make this often!
VerolynC , 1 years agoI thought this was very good. The flavors were delicious. I did boil my peppers but didn't think that they were soggy. I cooked my peppers in the oven for the first 20 minutes. I didn't have to raise the temperature and cook them longer, my cheese was already browning.
wurstel , 1 years agoVery yummy dish. And filling! We actually preferred the soggy texture of the peppers - I was weary at first, too, but it seems to fit the overall texture. Although it wasn't dry, we might add a little tomato sauce next time.
BigDaddyThomas , 1 years agoGood dish. Read the comments about the soggy peppers so I lightly salted the pepper halfs after I took them from the pot to draw out the moisture. I also cut the sausage in 1/2 &replaced it with lean ground beef. I used a very short grain rice, 3/4 of a can of roasted tomatos, & 2 eggs as a binder. topped it all with a slab of mozzarella cheese. The family loved it.
Jbe11 , 1 years agoThis is easy and tastes like it took all day to cook! I love it!
sherieme , 1 years agoWe don't eat pork so I used ground beef instead. Peppers were too soft after boiling them. Next time I will just put them straight into the oven. I wasn't happy with my soggy peppers but my husband loved it and ate ALL of them!
LoveMyHusband29 , 2 years agoNot too bad! I used chicken sausage instead of regular sausage to cut down on fat and calories. I would have liked some sauce on top; other than that, I will be trying this again sometime in the future!
GabiF , 2 years agoAwesome!! Great flavour with the Italian sausage. The flavour was even better the next day and it isn't a heavy meal so it's perfect for lunch.
