One of my favorites. This recipe taste even better than the take out you get.

Original recipe makes 4
3 bonelessChichen Breast; cubed
Marinade
2 tablespoonSoy sauce
1 tablespoonRice Wine
1 teaspoonSesame oil
2 tablespoonAll purpose flour
2 tablespoonCornstarch
2 tablespoonWater
1/4 teaspoonBaking Powder
Sesame Sauce
1/2 cupWater
1 cupChicken broth
1/8 cupRice vinegar
1/4 cupCornstarch
1 cupSugar
2 tablespoonSoy sauce
2 tablespoonSesame oil
2 clovesGarlic; minced
Toppings
1 tablespoonSesame seeds; toasted

Sesame Chicken Preparation

Cut the chicken into desired sized cubes.

Mix the marinade ingredients together and put into a plastic bag or air tight container.

Add the chicken to the marinade and marinate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

While the chicken is marinating you can make the sauce.

Mix all of the Sesame sauce ingredients together and put in a pot.

Bring the ingredients to a boil, stirring all the time.

Once it has come to a boil remove from the heat and set aside.

Now take a skillet and add enough oil to fry the chicken pieces.

Take the chicken from the refrigerator and take out of the bag.

Do not rinse or remove the marinade from the chicken.

Fry the chicken until crispy brown.

Then drain on a paper towel.

This will take a few batches to do.

When the chicken is all done set aside a minute and let drain.

While the chicken is draining put the sesame sauce back on the heat and bring to a boil again.

Once the sauce is boiling take off the heat.

You can either dump the chicken into the pan with the sauce or put the chciken in a platter and pour the sauce over the chicken.

Once the chicken has been coated, sprinkle the toated sesame seeds.

    Family Loved this dish. I get getting asked to make it again. After cooking chicken in wok, and turn the heat up high and added the sauce to wok and returned the chicken.

    I really didn't like this AT ALL, however I'm not sure if that's because of the recipe or just that I don't like sesame chicken. Love sesame flavour, love chicken but this was sickly, clumpy and just not good for me! Thank you for something new to try though.

    It was ok. They loved it but I thought that it was a bit bland and it needed something. The sauce was too sweet so I suggest to put 1/2 cup instead and there's too much garlic which gives it a weird flavor. It needs a few changes but it wasn't that bad

    I wasn't a big fan... made as directed. It has some flavor but it's tails off to be bland. Perhaps some changes would make it better, red pepper flakes and lower sugar would help (like Boodrann states). My grade is based on the recipe though.
