Unchunky spaghetti sauce...yay! If you don't like chunks, this is for you!
Add Olive Oil to sauce pan over moderate heat. Add the onion (or onion powder) & garlic and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, brown the ground beef.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and beef to the oil/onion/garlic. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Add 1/2 c water and 2 tbsp butter and stir until melted.
Tip: When boiling the spaghetti, add 2 beef boiullon cubes to the water. It adds a nice subtle flavor to the noodles. Then take a ladelful of this pasta water to add to the sauce instead of plain water. It seems to add a little something!
