Every time I make this, I get asked for the recipe. My family prefers this recipe over any restaurant's potato soup. Serve this with shredded cheese, bacon, and/or green onions as toppings. Someone at church also added sour cream to make it like a loaded baked potato.
gbookwormm ,This is one of our new favorite recipes! My husband just raves about it all the time. Even my in-laws were impressed with my skills on this one.11y
esthermcardle ,Made this for me and my sister today it was great. Coming from 2 women who haven't had moms potato soup in a long time.11y
tinytot ,Awesome! Like others, I used only a half cup of flour and cut the potatoes bigger. Also added leeks. Such a delicious, filling meal. Thanks for posting. Added this one to my favorites.11y
ladyavonlea ,Amazing consistency and flavor - cant believe it came out of my crockpot! Thanks!11y
shellycat ,Ok this is not your low cal soup but it is amazing!! It's a keeper in our house!!!!11y
timgraham1 ,We tripled the recipe and used it to feed about 50 people at our Wednesday Night Dinner. It all fit in a buffet cooker and we had to cook the soup at about 275 in order for it to be ready in the same amount of time. It was really thick and we had to add more water to thin the soup. Absolutely delicious and very filling.11y
ruyajo3 ,It turned out great!! It was perfect with half flour. Kids and husband loved it.11y
marcieschlecht ,We loved this! I used half of the flour & half regular milk in place of heavy cream. It turned out perfect! I served with chopped green onion. yumm!11y
rosemary83 ,Mine got really thick really fast. Tasted good, but didn't take long to look like glue. Next time, I'll use more potatoes, less flour. Loved the added bacon!11y
cnkwit ,I also used half and half instead of the heavy cream and it was very tasty...my husband loved it. Will definitely be making this one again!12y
