Ready in 30 minutes
This sounds common, but it tastes nothing like anything I've ever made and it is delicious. Left-overs from this dinner are all mine.
"This was fantastic. My family loved. I did a few variations: for the cream sauce I used heavy cream and marscapone cheese I stead of the flour/milk/cream cheese. I also tossed the cooked penne with half the Parmesan before adding the penne to the sauce. The rest went in the sauce. Lastly, I used roasted cherry tomatoes and grilled portobellos instead of the red pepper and added about 1/3 cup of toasted line nuts. "- Tufor

1) Cook pasta according to package and drain.
2) Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large skillet. Cook chicken until done. Turn heat to low - medium; add garlic and red bell pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove chicken and peppers from pan.
3) With heat still on low - medium, melt butter in the same skillet. Whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Add cream cheese and Parmesan. Continue stirring until completely smooth.
4) Turn off heat. Add in chicken, pasta, and green onions. Mix well and serve immediately.
Combine salad and pears and serve with favorite dressing.

savannahmarie22 4 days 2 hours agoIt was ok. It was easy and quick but I didn't like that it tasted so much like cream cheese I will be using something else next time maybe sour cream. It just had kind of a funky taste to me. On the other hand the bf loved it so maybe it's just me.

KBDH 3 weeks agoDelicious! I made it for a quick dinner but added red pepper flakes to the chicken while cooking and some to the sauce just to add a little spice.

CharlesECamero 1 month agoMade for a firehouse of 10. Followed the recipe. Consensus was that it was bland and unappealing. Will be adding Bacon, peas, onions, doubling garlic, additional seasoning, broccoli, and doubling butter, flour, and milk. Will more then likely cook diced Bacon, save the grease and cook the SEASONED chicken, add veggies to chicken, then while using the same skillet with all the tasty greases make sauce. Further trials needed.

sHellsKitchen 1 month agoFollowed others' advice and doubled the butter/flour/milk sauce. A little bland so I added 1/4 tsp each of lemon pepper, garlic powder, basil. Still only so-so, not sure the taste is worth the high calorie count!
washburn90 2 months agoI just made this for my wife and son tonight. DYNAMITE!!
CrockerStewart 2 months agoOoooo Loved this! Doubled the ingredients, will be making triple the sauce next time and adding some bread for dipping. Seasoned the chicken with creole seasoning, plus salt and pepper.
alibk2 2 months agoAwesome dish!! Loads of flavour. I followed this recipe exact! The only thing I will change next time is adding some chopped tomatoes mmmmm.
