Suggest a better descriptionSift flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortning. Add milk; stir with fork until dough is formed. Turn out onto lightly floured surface, knead about 20 turns. Pat or roll 1/2 inch thick. Note: For cheese biscuits, add 3/4 cups grated cheddar cheese. Bake at 450 for about 12 minutes. Makes 20 biscuits. From the book
