Pho Fact: Pho (pronounced ‘fuh’) is a Vietnamese noodle soup originating in Northern Vietnam during the mid-1880s. The traditional broth base develops a deep, complex flavor by slowly simmering for 8-10 hours with aromatic Chinese spices including star anise, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and coriander pods
1) Prep fresh ingredients.
2) Rice noodles should be made ahead and prepared al dente. When added to the hot Pho broth, the noodles will finish softening to perfection.
3) Bring Pho Soup Starter to a boil.
4) (Optional) Add protein and allow to cook through
5) Heat precooked rice noodles in hot broth to finish
6) When ready, ladle Pho into large soup bowls.
7) Customize it! Let friends and family add in their favorite fresh mix-ins and condiments.
