This recipe is very basic & easy to make! Plus the finished product is delicious! Hope you enjoy! :)
Grease 13x9 baking pan & set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Boil your water (dont forget to salt & oil) for the pasta & add lasagna noodles. Cook noodles according to package directions. DO NOT OVER COOK. Strain & set aside. *tip: if you lay the noodles out flat they are easier to work with.
Brown ground beef & Italian sausage in large pan with enough room to add your sauce. Drain grease from meat & add marinara. Cook on low-medium heat & add spices to preference (I use Italian seasonings & some minced garlic), stir often for about 15-20 minutes.
Start with single layer of lasagna noodles on the bottom of your dish. Use spatula or spoon to spread a layer of ricotta cheese over noodles. Add a layer of sauce, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella.
Repeat the above steps 2 times so you have a total of 3 layers. Any additional mozzarella can be finished on the top.
Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted sufficiently. Cut into preferred portions, serve & enjoy!
Tip: If you need a dinner prepared before hand this comes in handy just cover & refrigerate until you're ready to use! But make sure to let the pan/lasagna get to room temperature for even heating throughout, especially if using a glass baking dish! This is great for family dinners with left overs or for a big dinner party!
