Suggest a better description1. Place the ribs in a stock pot. Add enough water to cover the ribs. Bring to a boil, skim the foam from the surface. Add the onions, ginger & 2 tablespoons of the rice wine. Cover the stock pot & simmer on medium-low heat for 1 hour.
2. Remove the stock pot from the heat & let it stand for 15 minutes.
3. Transfer the ribs to a large shallow dish. Discard the cooking liquid.
4. Mix together the next 5 ingredients, as well as the remaining rice wine. Pour this mixture over the ribs. Refrigerate for 8 hours to marinate, turning occasionally.
5. Heat a greased barbecue to medium heat. Remove the ribs from the marinade, reserving the marinade.
6. Grill the ribs for 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
7. After the 20 minutes, brush with the reserved marinade. Grill for another 10 minutes, or until they are golden brown, turning occasionally.
USE YOUR OVEN: Marinate the boiled ribs as directed. Remove them from the marinade; reserving the marinade. Place the ribs in a single layer in a shallow foil-lined pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake in a 350ºF oven for 30 minutes. Brush with the reserved marinade & continue to bake for 15 to 20 minutes more, or until they are golden brown.
NOTE: Ribs can be marinated overnight before grilling as directed.
