hposada ,My husband loves this one! A little messy, but definately saves us money on chinese takeout.13y
missroxy ,The first time I made this, I found it very confusing, the sauce was way too thick as well. I tried making it again and added more vegetables, less cornstarch and it turned out much better. One of the only chicken meals my son will eat!!13y
moracook ,I cooked the chicken pieces in the microwave first because I tried one raw in the oil and it came out a little pink in the middle (even on the smallest piece- 1/2 inch square) I doubled the recipe and the sauce was a little too thick, so I wouldn't exactly double the cornstarch with the water and green onions, I would probably 1 and a half it. Very good otherwise!13y
dadwillcook ,I read the bottom of ingrediants list as . . Add 2 tbs if cornstarch to 3 tbs of water. It came out fine. It's simply to thicken sauce.13y
brendin2208 ,somebody please explain end of this recipe..... it says to add cornstarch mixture to pan and then add chicken again. i tough chicken was already combined with cornstarch????13y
mamarvin2 ,it was incredible, one of the best recipes for general tso's chicken i have ever tasted. it is my favorite asian dish and i am very picky about it and this one was amazing. i do however wish that they had a larger portion recipe but i suppose that can be fixed by a little simple math13y
keithd1949 ,The wife really liked this recipe. I like a lighter sauce than this makes but it was very good. I used lite soy and the next time I might cut the soy sauce a little bit. As the previous reviewer mentioned it isn't clear what to mix the cornstarch with to thicken the sauce. I used about a 1/3 cup of water and it worked fine. You could also mix with that leftover pineapple juice if you want it a bit fruitier.13y
amrita505 ,This was an easy receipe! Just one thing at the bottom it mentions to add cornstarch again to 3.... What is the 3???13y
pantara ,Very good, I'm stuffed. A bit messy to make, maybe that's just me. Anyway excellent Meal. Give it a try, oh I throw some broccoli in there as well, really makes it look good.14y
dadwillcook ,Absolutely fantastic! My failed attempts at this dish made me a bit suspicious about the simplicity. It tasted great. I too used orange juice and a little orange zest. As far as the vinegar being overbearing, I used red wine vinegar and it tasted awesome. Next time I'll double the recipe.14y
mequarto1 ,Just loved this recipe and so did my family. I didn't have pineapple juice so I used orange juice and it was awesome! Just loved this recipe! Can't wait to make it again!!!14y
jerrywitman ,Ok, I have been craving some good General Tso's Chicken and this hit the spot. I was afraid to try to make something like this because I thought it had to be difficult. But boy was I wrong. This is a fast dish that can be quickly thrown together and still tastes AMAZING... Substitutions and changes I made to the dish. I made this for my 3 and 5 year old so I replaced the dry red peppers (which are usually Chili peppers) and used small sweet red peppers. After I added the peppers I also added the onions to they would soften a bit before I added the sauce. (This is just personal preference.) once a few started to brown I added the sauce and let is simmer for about a minute before adding the cornstarch to thicken it. The rice actually too longer to cook than the whole meal! so I turned the wok down and left it simmer until the rice finished. The sauce glazed the chicken nicely and the meal was perfect!!!14y
bowiefan1 ,This is probably the best General Tso's Chicken recipe that I've found. My only complaint is that the vinegar is a little overbearing. Does anyone have an idea of what to add instead of vinegar, or should I add less vinegar all together?15y
