A great appetizer to start your meal.
Lightly season shrimp with chile powder, paprika, salt and pepper on both sides.
Preheat large saute pan over high heat, and add olive oil to coat bottom of pan. Arrange shrimp in single layer in pan, and allow to sear on the first side for about 2 minutes until golden brown. Turn shrimp and add garlic to pan. Continue to sear shrimp until second side is browned. Stir in 1/2 cup of adobo sauce and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes. Remove the pan from heat, and stir in cold butter to finish sauce. Garnish with cilantro.
Yield: 6 appetizer portions
