A low carb main dish
Saute onions in butter until softened. Add mushrooms, garlic and a pinch of the pepper. Cook until softened. Let cool.
Mix meat with cooled vegetables, parmesan, egg, cream, soy sauce broth and remaining pepper.
Halve the mixture. Flatten each half into a rectangle. Place 4 slices of cheese on each half and top with ham. Be sure to leave at least a 1-inch rim around the edges so the filling doesn't leak out. Roll up each rectangle and seal carefully. Wrap 4 slices of bacon around each loaf.
Bake seam side down on a rimmed sheet or shallow pan st 350° for 35-45 minutes.
Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes before slicing. This will help keep the filling from oozing.
