2. Drain then set aside.
3. Prepare the Meat Filling:
- In a skillet, heat oil.
- Saute garlic and onions
- Add pepper and cook until tender
- Add ground beef and ham and cook until browned.
- Add tomato sauce, catsup, bay leaves, and seasoning.
- Bring to a boil, lower heat then allow to simmer for a few minutes uncovered.
- If sauce gets too thick, add a little water.
4. Add this mixture to the cooked macaroni.
- Mix very well then transfer to an ovenproof glass dish.
- Set aside.
5. Prepare Bechamel Sauce:
- Melt butter then add flour.
- Stir to remove lumps.
- Add milk and chicken broth while stirring continuously
- Add cream of mushroom soup and cook until smooth and thick.
6. Pour sauce evenly over the macaroni in the dish.
7. Top with some grated cheese
8. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 20 to 20 minutes or until top is lightly browned
