Based on the broccoli salad at Picadilly.
Hold brocolli stem straight up with florets down on cutting board. Cut florets off broccoli stalks by cutting down and at a slight angle inward. Pick florets apart and place in bowl. Empty entire jar(s) of pimiento over florets and stir to coat. Add chopped onion, raisins, bacon bits and finally cheese. Stir to combine. Add salt and pepper and a little sugar, if wanted. If you''ve used the finely grated packaged cheese, it may already be salty, so use salt sparingly. In a small bowl combine the sour cream and mayonnaise. Then stir it into the brocolli mixture. For best results, refrigerate overnight.
*You can also use real crumbled bacon.
